ANSI/ASME B18.2.1 Metric vesion code

ANSI/ASME B18.2.1 Metric vesion code

(OP)
For one of our project we have supply Bolts as per ASTM A394-08 , but having diameter = 16 millimeter. ASTM A394-08 refer to ANSI/ASME B18.2.1 for inch dimensions. Which is the equivalent code of B18.2.1 with metric dimension ?

As per ASTM A394-08 Thread length = 1.25 " for 5/8" Dia bolts , while as per B.18.2.1 it is 1.5" . Why ?

Thanks

RE: ANSI/ASME B18.2.1 Metric vesion code

Probably just an oversight by ASTM

Since your main spec is A-394, and the B16 is a reference spec, I would argue that A-394 tolerances and dimensions govern this project.
