Pressurization Testing

Pressurization Testing

Pressurization Testing

(OP)
Dear Everybody
according to the regulation, aircraft door's fittings (locks) must be designed for 2 times (1.33*1.5) of differential pressure imposed load. but how about the door itself?
is it must be designed and tested for 2 times of differential pressure aslo?
and, is the door must be tested on fuselage or we can (or should) test it individually?
if any reference and suggestion regarding this subject you know and have, please
thank you very much
best regards

RE: Pressurization Testing

yes,
yes,
testing in fuselage would be better, but you could do it on a rig (and maybe have to show that the stiffness of the stops is the same),
FAR25, FAA ACs, ...

Design requirement [2.0 X deltaP] is one element: but I think that proof pressure loading is only required to be to 1.5 X deltaP.

Results of an inadvertent proof test to [slightly above] 2.0 X deltaP is shown in the attachment.
