How to remove "Unused" & Un-found CATDrawing Links

How to remove "Unused" & Un-found CATDrawing Links

How to remove "Unused" & Un-found CATDrawing Links

(OP)
I have a CATDrawing that started it's life as a drawing of another Product.  When I go to Edit->Links I now see only the links to the CATProduct which the drawing is actually showing.  If I look at the "overload properties" of some of the views there is a CATPart which is checked-off as un-"use", but it is not part of this CATProduct.  When I then go to update the views in the drawing it scans the network for this CATPart.  How do I remove the "hidden" link to this part completely?

Thanks,
Jeff

OK, I played with this for a bit and decided to rename the directory where the un-used link is pointing to.  When I reloaded the drawing, the reference disappeared.  I saved the drawing and closed it, renamed the directory back to the original and the un-used link was still gone.

So I think I'm good.

For now ;)

RE: How to remove "Unused" & Un-found CATDrawing Links

The CATDUA utility usually cleansup these "ghost links" on drawings.

Even though you got rid of the link, running CATDUA would still be a good idea.

Actually, I ran CATDUA first, but the links were still there.  After I tried the "renamed directory trick" I ran it again to verify that the links were gone - and they were.
