I would like to know your opinion about changing the uk rivet AS2228-3XXX (SP85) by standard rivet MS20470AD-3-XX.

According to the geometry the MS20470AD-3-X diameter of the head  is 10.7% smaller then the AS2228-3XXX and the thickness of the head is 8.7% higher then the AS2228-3XXX.

The material of the AS2228-3XXX is L86 which is the correspondent to the 2117 (AD).

The AD rivet has a resistence to the shear strenght of 30000 psi which means for -3 (3/32) a Shear force of 207 lbs.

Does anyone knows the shear and bearing stress of the AS2228-3XXX rivets? It's resonable change it?

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Best Regards.
