overflow line sizing

(OP)
hi all,

i have one problem..for diesel tank overflow line (located at top of the tank rather than side) capacity calculation. given overflow line size is 1". i need to find the capacity of the overflow line need to match with inflow rate.fluid is diesel, visosity is 3.1 cp & density - 850kg/m3 @50°C. I have done calculation in pipenet but it's result is 3.75m3/hr. just need to confirm/doubt what is the max. flow rate expect from overflow line having 1" size.   pl. if any solution is there pl. let me know..

RE: overflow line sizing

hello sarm,

assume approx. 300 L/HR for a 1" line.

Kind Regards,
