Any suggestion for a good material selection guide for valve

Any suggestion for a good material selection guide for valve

Any suggestion for a good material selection guide for valve

(OP)
All,

My background is equipment stress analysis so I'm new to material selection and valve selection. So any help is appreciated.

Can anyone suggest a good book or some web site article that can help me select the materials for valves based on service condition?  For example, I need to know what ball valve trim and seating to use for diluted bitumen and fuel gas, etc.

I also would like to learn more about valve components and their operation so I can be an effective and informed purchaser of valves.

Thanks.

RE: Any suggestion for a good material selection guide for valve

Valve manufacturer's association in USA,UK and Australia will be a good place to begin with.Ofcourse for specific material related issues there are a number of experts in this forum. We too are engaged in manufacturing of valve castings and related component, but have very little knowledge about the application aspects.
Additionally ther is a valve engineering forum on this site, which you may find helpful.
