Divide Volume by WorkPlane in ansys

Divide Volume by WorkPlane in ansys

Divide Volume by WorkPlane in ansys

(OP)
Hi all,

I have got 2 metal plates joined together with an interfernce fit.
I am trying to divide these three volumes by workplane but everytime I get a warning: "Output entity is identical to first input entity for VSWB command. No new entities created."

Can someone suggest me on this?

Thanks

RE: Divide Volume by WorkPlane in ansys

This warning means that the XY plane of the workplane (known as the 'cutting plane') is coincident with a plane on which no bodies exist.  You must ensure that the cutting plane is aligned correctly with the body to be cut i.e. the XY workplane is aligned to the section to be divided.
