CATIA v5 not saving properly in assemblies

CATIA v5 not saving properly in assemblies

CATIA v5 not saving properly in assemblies

(OP)
I designed various parts in Catia v5 and put them together in the assembly work bench. Its a fairly large assembly so I use various subassemblies.

When I made changes on a certain subassembly or a part, CATIA seams randomly to disregards changes or even undo them. This Monday I open the assembly which I edited on Friday, and almost all the bolts are gone. It makes no sense, it seams as if CATIA choose a random point in time and reset my files. Yes, I am sure I did save each part, assembly and subassembly before leaving the office on Friday. Still everything I did some 2 hours before leaving has been undone.

It is really frustrating, I am sick of redoing work. Anybody any ideas?

RE: CATIA v5 not saving properly in assemblies

Are you using save management? I've had no problems with it- saves both assembly and modified parts/components in one go. I find it so useful I've put it on a toolbar...

RE: CATIA v5 not saving properly in assemblies

Do you know about search order ? Did you check it ? Did you used Save Management ?

If you are working in a network and don't use a PDM system and if more persons are using same user for sure you will have problems with search order and saving...

In short, CATIA is not doing such kind of errors.

Fernando
