Portable DewPoint Meter

Portable DewPoint Meter

Portable DewPoint Meter

(OP)
Hello All,

Our plant is in need of a protable dewpoint meter to verify we are purging the new equipment to -40C.

The purge gas is nitrogen, pressure 0.5 - 10 barg

I have seen them before. Sample gas in and then a sample gas out. Plastic tubing was used to connect the inlet gas feed. I don't remeber the brand that I saw.

Does anyone know of a good brand or a place to locate one?

Thanks in Advance!
Ken

RE: Portable DewPoint Meter

Hi advsign22,

Usually, dewpoints that low are tough to measure without a chilled mirror device.

Check GE Sensing or Vaisala.  ge-mcs.com or vaisala.com  Either is good on the phone to help select a model.

Good on ya,

RE: Portable DewPoint Meter

not sure what the gas (air, natural gas, etc.) is, but a supplier of dewpoint devices is Meeco (see: http://meeco.com/meeco/).

hope this helps.  Good luck!

RE: Portable DewPoint Meter

I've had good experience with the GE Sensing (ex-Panametrics) equipment at your target temperature and lower, in both fixed and portable applications.
