Element and connection Capacity/Demand Check

Element and connection Capacity/Demand Check

(OP)
Hi,

I'm hoping to get SAP to check the Capacity/Demand ratio (get SAP to highlight the failing elements and connections in my structure). I understand that the design function is able to check for and highlight the failing member.

I'm just hoping to find out if there is a way of checking for failing members. How would I enter the Capacity of my members and connections if SAP is capable of checking for failing elements and connections? I'm using a general material (Wood).

Thanks in advance!

RE: Element and connection Capacity/Demand Check

SAP does not offer design code demand-capacity checks for wood members. You can obtain deflections, shears and moments, but no automatic checking against a wood design code standard like what you can do with steel, concrete, aluminum or cold-form
