PEI (Poly Ether Imide) resistance to H2S
PEI (Poly Ether Imide) resistance to H2S
(OP)
Hi, I'm looking to use a solenoid valve body in a sour natural gas application where H2S will be present. I can't find any published chemical compatability data for PEI in the presensce of H2S although it is classified as 1A for 50% sulphuric acid (there will be moisture present). I have also seen that PEEK is classified as "excellent" for resistance to H2S and believe that the two materials (PEEK and PEI) are similar?
does anyone on here have any experiance or knowledge of the chemical resistance of PEI in such environments? or can anyone point me in the right direction to find out?
