Size conductors on transformer primary

Size conductors on transformer primary

(OP)
I'm sizing my OCPD for the primary side of a transformer at 125%, do I need to increase the size of my conductors to coincide with the larger OCPD. I've been told that I size the primary conductors for the FLA of the transformer? I have seen it both way though.

RE: Size conductors on transformer primary

If this part of the system is covered by the National Electrical Code, you need to size the conductors based on the overcurrent device rating.
