Grade S-128 Steel

Grade S-128 Steel

(OP)
Hello,

I am doing some work on a Valmont Monopole communications tower. The base plate is grade S-128 steel, does anyone have any idea what the Yield/Ultimate stress that this grade of steel might have? Or, what specification the "S" grade comes from? I thought it could be a British specification but i am not sure.

The pole itself is grade S-22, which i know from past experience is Grade 65ksi steel, but i have never seen the base plate of this grade before. If anyone can shed some light on this topic it would be most appreciated.

Thank you,
Alex
