NX License time-out

NX License time-out

(OP)
Can NX licenses be set-up to time-out for some users but not for others?  I don't want licenses to time-out for full time users but I also don't want to make them dedicated licenses that would be unavailable when they are out sick or on vacation.

RE: NX License time-out

Has NX implemented the TIMEOUT feature in FlexNet? Haven't followed NX licensing for a few years, but when TIMEOUT was introduced, UG2/NX did not support its use.

I don't see anything in the option file options that will do what you want. I am guessing you have more users than licenses? Not sure if gROUP will provide some of what you want.

Check out the FlexNet Licensing End User Guide for details of the options.

RE: NX License time-out

NX doesn't support it but has mentioned to me when I've called GTAC that you can do this through the options file using the Acresso FLEXLM.  I haven't experimented with it myself yet, but am needed to accomoplish the same task as you are wanting to do with doing a timeout of licenses and blocking some of CAD users from being allowed to pull the CAM bundles.
