Need for Load Control Module when paralleling generator with utility?
Need for Load Control Module when paralleling generator with utility?
(OP)
Hi,
On a project that I am working on, the client is requesting to be able to test the generator when it is paralleled with the utility (testing up to 80-100% of the output power).
Do I really need to have a Load Control Module to be able to test the generator up to 80-100% of the output power?
Thanks

With 3% droop, a no load setting of 61.8Hz will give 100% loading at 60 Hz.
Oce you are synchronized, raise your speed setting and the speed won't change but the unit will pick up the load.
