D33 mode Piezoelectric Generator

D33 mode Piezoelectric Generator

(OP)
I was reading some papers about pizeoelectric generators and I came across some examples where the 33 mode was used. The design was a cantilever beam with some piezoelectric material on top and Interdigitated electrodes placed on top of that. I know how to simulate a 31 piezoelectric generator with the electrodes sandwiching the piezoelectric material. However I'm not sure how I would simulate the 33 mode. Since the material is poled lengthwise along the beam.

Do you know if the 32and1 directions are aligned with the xyz directions in ANSYS? I'm thinking if thats the case then I would just have to change the values of the d and compliance matrix.
