Copy and paste autocad dwg into SW sketch - Degree symbol problem

Copy and paste autocad dwg into SW sketch - Degree symbol problem

Copy and paste autocad dwg into SW sketch - Degree symbol problem

(OP)
Hello,

I copy and pasted an Autocad dwg into a SW sketch. Conversion worked pretty good except for degree symbols, they are showing %%D in the SW sketch(see attached).

Typically not a problem, but I have a lot of these degree symbols on the drawing. The only way I can fix is to update each one.

I tried copy / paste into Draftsite. Then copy /paste in SW, but did not help.

Anybody know a shortcut?

Thanks,

-rena

RE: Copy and paste autocad dwg into SW sketch - Degree symbol problem

My version of SW doesn't have spell check, but I thought that this was globally possible now. If I miss my guess, it should have a replace function like other MSoft spell checkers.

%%D is the internal way ACAD records the degree symbol in a text string. So DraftSight won't fix this.

I am surprised SW didn't fix this when importing the dwg file. Did you drag and drop or read the file in directly?
