Load Rating

(OP)
i am using virtis 6.3 for bridge load rating. can anyone tell me, if operating and inventory ratings fall below 25T, what does it indicate? Also, for latex modified concrete overlay, what would be density used for wearing surface dead load?

RE: Load Rating

First, inventory rating is always lower than operating rating. The former has to do with the usual traffic; the latter is for the occasional overload.

What does it mean if the rating is below 25T? What's your rating vehicle? Are you using a 25T vehicle for the rating?

For example, if you are using a 36T HS-20 truck and your Inventory Rating is 25T it means your primary members are overstressed for HS-20 and your probably slightly overstressed for Operating Rating.

You can use 144-150 pcf as a unit weight for LMC concrete.
