Open By Proximity

On the face of it open by proximity should be a useful command but what I'm finding is that it will correctly find the components within the range specified but it will also open the rest of the assembly that the components are in.

Is there a default setting somewhere to switch this off ie "open components found only - not their parent assy"

Thanks, Paul

Forgot to say we're running 7.5 here (7.5.2.5 actually!)

RE: Open By Proximity

Have you used the true shape option? Preferences --> Assemblies --> Trueshape filtering.

RE: Open By Proximity

BY the way, for this to be availebl, it must be turned on in you customer defaults and a cube size set for the TSO files. ours is set at 20mm as our products are big.

Best regards
