NX 7.5 trouble

NX 7.5 trouble

(OP)
Hey,

So I run both solid works and NX 7.5 on my computer. Both ran fine until now. Both of them opened fine and booted like normal, until I went to start a new part or open a part. For both programs the part would open but the home screen would stay in the middle where the part is suppose to be displayed everything else works fine though the part navigator on the left loads showing all steps I have taken to create part and all commands are there as well. For both the problem started at the same time, After a little research I figured out to fix the solid works problem I had to turn on the opengl option on solid works and now solid works is running fine but NX 7.5 is not and  I am not sure what to do, I would appreciate any suggestions.

RE: NX 7.5 trouble

A very wild guess is that your registry has crashed.
I would very quickly make sure that i have a complete backup of that disk. Then try re-installing NX ( and that other software smile
The installer should fix the registry. - If not you might need to run a uninstall first.

RE: NX 7.5 trouble

The fact that it does work with openGL makes me think its' a graphics card problem.
Did you update your drivers recently?
Did you do any other kind of software/hardware updates?

ya im pretty sure it is a graphics card issues as well because I have made a new discovery my laptop has the option to go into power saving graphics mode and a high performance graphics mode when plugged in. The funny thing is it works somewhat when its unplugged, so when its in low graphics mode. When i say somewhat i mean that the part look chopped up meaning that the graphics card is running to low but Im not sure why it will not work when it is in high performance mode
