DIY Induction Shink Fit

DIY Induction Shink Fit

(OP)
We are looking to buy an induction shrink fitter for a production process of shrink fitting an aluminum shaft into an aluminum hub. In the meantime of having the real tooling, I have been attempting different methods at making prototypes. I have succesfully done the shrink fit by heating the hub up in hot oil, but the application has electronics that cannot be exposed to the oil that may remain present later. An oven takes too long. I was wondering if I could use a cheap induction range top to heat a small aluminum piece up to 150 C. Everything I am reading says that these range tops don't work well with aluminum, but if it just means it would take longer that would be acceptable. Has anybody here ever tried anything like this?
