Hydrostatic Test for no BEP

(OP)
Hi, I'm working in the design of a Power Generation Plant and we are in the final stage of the design. The configuration of the plant it's quite complex we have two module with a distribution of 3 (GVRC) to 1 (steam turbine). Now well, our client doesn't allows flanged conections (only buttweld connection) and the system have to be hydrotested using a temporary welded facilitie so once they finish the test and weld the final pipe to go into the steam turbine, how we should tested that final weld? we must to repeat the hydrostatic test? o we have another option?

RE: Hydrostatic Test for no BEP

That's called a Tie-In weld, and your delimma happens quite often.  The usual method [covered in ASME B31.3] is to test the root - magnetic particle MT or dye penetrant PT, then test the completed weld volumetrically; either x-ray RT or ultrasonic UT.
