Plastic Pipe Aging Tests

(OP)
Hi,

Can anyone provide information on standards or test methods related to againg tests for plastic water pipes such as PP, CPVC, HDPE, ect. Our goal is to evaluate long-term performance of water pipes based on shorter testing time through accelerated aging methods.

Would appreciate your recommendations.

Thanks,

Jon.

RE: Plastic Pipe Aging Tests

There are standard methods, the main one being hydrostatic pressure testing. There are only a few places in the world set up to do it. Read this for more information:

Try to contact an agency like UL or IEC, they will have better suggestions.
