Mode-Based random analysis on Abaqus

Mode-Based random analysis on Abaqus

(OP)
Hello,

I'm doing a mode-based random simulation on abaqus.
I found out the way to set that up :
Use 2 steps.
Step 1 - a normal modes analysis.
Step 2 -*psd-definition,name=base,type=base,g=9.807
*step
*random response
*modal damping,structural
*base motion,dof=?,lcase=?
*correlation,psd=base,type=uncorrelated

My concern is that you never define the node on which you apply your PSD. Does abaqus automaticaly apply the PSD to all nodes where the specified DOF was fixed in the modal extraction analysis?
More, when you define the psd function with *PSD-DEFINITION, you do that in the units of your model, don't you? In my case, they are mm and s. Do I have to define the parameter g of the *psd-definition in the units of my model as well?

Thank you,
Jimmy
