fire and gas cabling

fire and gas cabling

(OP)
When selecting fire resistant cabling for fire and gas, is there anything else that I need to bear in mind?
My client has specified outer sheath colour but that is all.
I have recently started working in instruments and am a little confused as to wether the cabling for fire and gas equipment needs to be I.S. or not... or am I completely missing the point?

Any help is Much appreciated

RE: fire and gas cabling

IS cable is color blue, but that has nothing to do with fire resistant cabling.

short manufacturer tutorial here:

some Google terms:
fire-rated
flame retardant
fire resistant
heat resistant
flame resistant
