NX6 for the downloaded fasteners can you show detailed threads

NX6 for the downloaded fasteners can you show detailed threads

NX6 for the downloaded fasteners can you show detailed threads

(OP)
I downloaded the components from cast. When I use a reusable component I don't see how to show the detailed threads. I see in the part file that it is controlled by a variable in an expression, but do not see that in the design table. If you use a reusable component how would you access these detailed threads?

RE: NX6 for the downloaded fasteners can you show detailed threads

You can temporarily 'turn on' the detailed threads but you will not be allowed to save fasteners from the Machinery Library with detailed threads enabled (it just too much overheard in terms of part file size and display update when the assemblies are reopened).

To temporarily enable the display of detailed threads, set the fastener to be the work part, open the Expression dialog, find an expression named 'SYMBOL_SUP_STATUS', edit the value of this expression from '1' to '0' and hit OK.

RE: NX6 for the downloaded fasteners can you show detailed threads

Even if the model does not have the detailed threads on it you can turn them on in the drawing view.
view style -> Threads (tab) -> use one of the threads standards that have "detailed" in the description
This works on  standard mm and inch threads.
