type of extensions .TBR and .DLX

type of extensions .TBR and .DLX

Hi all,

.TBR extension on NX is for NX customized toolbars I think.

And what is .DLX file extension for?

Thanks.

RE: type of extensions .TBR and .DLX

.dlx are the files created from using block styler to make your own dialogs.

Hi,

Which programs I need for creating .TBR and .DLX files?

Visual Studio?...

Thanks.

RE: type of extensions .TBR and .DLX

I believe the .dlx extension is also used for the "dialog memory" files. These files are created by NX as you use the software. When you interact with a dialog box and press OK, the values/options you used are written to a .dlx file so the next time you use the same dialog it fills out the values with those you last used.

RE: type of extensions .TBR and .DLX

@cowski, you're right, brain fart on my part, .dlg are the block styler files.
the .dlx are the dialog memory files.

Hi all thanks,

And .TBR files how can be done?

Thanks.

RE: type of extensions .TBR and .DLX

For .tbr files, I don't think you need anything more than a text editor. Search for "tbr" in the NX help for info and/or look at the ug_standard.tbr file for an example (in the UGII_BASE_DIR/UGII/menus directory), don't forget to make a backup copy before you modify it!

RE: type of extensions .TBR and .DLX

Toolbar files (those with a .tbr extension) are created manually.  I'm not aware of any scheme or function which would create such a Toolbar file automatically.  And while it is true that you can create an actual 'TOOLBAR' using the interactive Customize functionality, the result is NOT a .tbr file but rather as additions to an .mtx file which captures the changes and edits made to your menus and toolbars either by toggeling on/off toolbars, enabling/disabling the display of individual icons, or changes made using the Customize functions.  These .mtx files are the basis for the system defined and user defined Roles.

Anyway, I hope that clears-up this issue.

RE: type of extensions .TBR and .DLX

Actually .dlg is the extension for user interface styler dialog files and the .dlx are for block styler dialog files.
