Check Analysis Quality out of memory

Check Analysis Quality out of memory

Check Analysis Quality out of memory

(OP)
When i have done a simulation, i press "Check Analysis Quality", but i run out of memory. Is there any setting that allows NX to use more RAM? My computer has 4GB RAM, but XP only uses 2.7GB.
When i press solve, i can go to "Solver Parameters" and under "Nastran command keywords" there is a button with "Solution montior memory". This is set to 400MB. Does this have anything to do with running out of memory?

thank yoU!

RE: Check Analysis Quality out of memory

On Windows 32-bit machines, the UGRAF process will peak out at 2.7GB with the /3GB switch.
A 64-bit machine may sove your problem since the memory limitation is higher than you can stuff physical memory in the box.

so there is nothing other than making the element size larger that fix it? No setting making NX able to use the HD as RAM? NX actually uses all the RAM (no limit in some hidden pref.?)

RE: Check Analysis Quality out of memory

the limit in in your windows/bios or something like that. Nothing NX can do about that. Only thing you can do is switch go 64bit.

NX 7.5
Teamcenter 8

RE: Check Analysis Quality out of memory

It is a limitation of the Windows 32-bit OS. Nothing can go around that.
Windows 64-bit is the only solution.
