Non-uniform heat generation

Non-uniform heat generation

Non-uniform heat generation

(OP)
I would like to know if there is a way to output the heat generation rate (W/m^3) in the Abaqus odb.I have a curved beam to which a non-uniform heat generation is applied.

Qgeneration = f(thickness,length)

I would like to get an output of the applied heat generation to the curved beam just to verify if the heat generation profile that I had created as an analytic field is being implemented correctly.

Since the curved beam is of uniform thickness , I'm thinking of getting a field output of the heat flux magnitude and dividing the heat flux magnitude (W/m^2) by the thickness (m) to get the heat generation rate (W/m^3). Any comments/suggestions ?

Thanks
