Integral Endbents causing maintenace issues for transportation?

(OP)
I'd like to know if any of you have had issues with integral endbents with bridge lengths of 500+ having problems with expansion at the ends of the bridge.  See picture.  4 eyes Any comments welcomed!

RE: Integral Endbents causing maintenace issues for transportation?

That is why they make expansion joints.. By my calcs using a 100F degree temperature change, a steel bridge would move almost 4' and concrete bridge over 3'  Seems like somebody forgot a part??
