Hard Coating to Stainless

Hard Coating to Stainless

(OP)
Does anyone know of a hard coating to apply to stainless steel which is wear resistant. This would be used to coat 360mm vanes which rotate on spinning discs at 700rpm which spread abrasive granules of fertiliser in agriculture

RE: Hard Coating to Stainless

Try Duromar or Chesterton coatings.  Both have epoxy products that should handle your wear issues.

You might want to investigate Kolsterising or similar surface treatment that increases hardness without diminishing corrosion resistance.
