Welding design in an Assembly - NX7.5

Welding design in an Assembly - NX7.5

Welding design in an Assembly - NX7.5

(OP)
Hi,
I need to make updates in a previously designed assembly.
Two of the components required welding design. The previous user created another component(the third one, a welding part) especially for that.
This file contains "Body" 3D geometry only. They are located at the welding area of the two components of the assembly.
My question is:
- Should the welding design be created as a component of the
  assembly?
- Or as a 3D data geometry in the assembly file?
What's the best design practices for this topic?
Thanks

RE: Welding design in an Assembly - NX7.5

Use welding symbols at the drafting level to represent the welds and forget modeling welds in the model

RE: Welding design in an Assembly - NX7.5

I Agree with "Daluigi" to create in NX Drafting. But in case where  Model is made by one user and Drafting is done by another user. I will suggest create in part level. So that you will not have confusion in Assembly. But there are some final welds which is done at assembly are bound to do in assembly file.
Best Regards
BisRaNa
