Sump Pack or Pump Pack?
Sump Pack or Pump Pack?
(OP)
This past week I was speaking with an electrician and he was describing a control relay for pumping systems (I'm in the water/wastewater industry), which he was calling a "sump pack" or "pump pack."
What I understood him to be describing was a single control module that would replace multiple relays, as would normally be found in a small (less than 25HP) duplex pump station with lead/lag float controls.
I may not have fully understood what he was describing, as that is the purpose of this inquiry, to educate myself. I'm familiar with alternating relays and of course PLCs. What he was describing seemed like something in between. So, the question is, does anyone know what he might have been describing and where I could find more information, just for general knowledge.
Thanks in advance.

Waross, i had not seen the LOGO before, that's a neat little controller. I'll definitely keep that in mind for future small station projects.
Itsmoked, I'm sorry if you felt like I made you play, what I intended to solicit was a purely voluntary response. Too, I think if you re-read my initial post, you'll find that the question was phrased, "...does anyone KNOW..." if you interpreted that as a request for you to guess, you were mistaken. If you didn't know, a simple non-response would have been sufficient.
