Turn Off Automatic Rotate View to Normal in Sketch in Task Environment

Turn Off Automatic Rotate View to Normal in Sketch in Task Environment

(OP)
When I'm in a sketch and click on "Open in Sketch Task Environment", my view is automatically rotated/translated to be normal to the sketch. Is there a way to turn this off and not have the rotation/translation when I enter a task environment sketch? I'm asking this because my computer gets bogged down trying to re-orient my view to normal when I'm working with complex geometries. Running NX7.5. Thanks

RE: Turn Off Automatic Rotate View to Normal in Sketch in Task Environment

Before you create/open your Sketch, go to...

Preferences -> Sketch -> Session Settings

...and in the section of the dialog labeled 'Task Environment', toggle OFF the 'Change View Orientation' option.  Note that this will be reset back to ON when you start your next session of NX.

If you wish that this be a 'permanent' change, you'll need to toggle this option OFF in...

Customer Defaults -> Sketch -> Session Settings

...making the same change as above.
