MOLLER EASY 719 PLC PASSWORD

MOLLER EASY 719 PLC PASSWORD

MOLLER EASY 719 PLC PASSWORD

(OP)
We've just had a disgruntled engineer leave the company who's locked the PLC with a four digit code.  Does anybody know a way around this without having to manually input 10,000 combinations or scraping the PLC?

RE: MOLLER EASY 719 PLC PASSWORD

Hello,
The only way to access the PLC is to manually input 5 times the wrong password with the on-board display. After this you will be asked if you want to delete the program(which will remove the password too). You can find additional info in the manual of the PLC.
Have a nice day.

Hi,

I had tried to delete the old program by doing this but the option to delete after so many failed attempts has been removed.

RE: MOLLER EASY 719 PLC PASSWORD

Power OFF->Power ON and try again.

Tried power off then power on. No joy.  It's looking like we will have to change the PLC and reload the program.

RE: MOLLER EASY 719 PLC PASSWORD

Can you talk to your Moeller supplier? They often have someone on staff who has been trained in situations like this.

RE: MOLLER EASY 719 PLC PASSWORD

Pull any battery then power cycle?

Try all the typical numbers?
1111
2222
etc.
1234
The guy's last four phone.
Your companies last four phone.
4321

Have a friend call the guy and ask for the password.

Have a lawyer contact the guy and explain how he's going to be sued for damages?

I spoke with Moeller originally and they can't suggest anything that hasn't already been tried.

To date we have tried the following:

Repeatedly putting in the password to delete the program - this option has been turned off

All common passwords 1234 etc

Power off and On

Writing to the engineer to get the codes with the threat of further action - nothing back yet!

I wondered if there was a backdoor password or any software available for cracking the code.
