Self-Reinforced nozzle for Pressure vessel

Self-Reinforced nozzle for Pressure vessel

Self-Reinforced nozzle for Pressure vessel

(OP)
I was trying to make a self-reinforced nozzle with LIP for a thick wall vessel(thickness above 50mm)and i had a lot of issues making the same.Attached is the sketch and the model that i made. The model is not as i want. To explain in brief this particular part sits on a shell(cylinder) and the "lip" has the same curvature as that of the shell but this is integrated with the nozzle (see attached files how the part looks).

Can someone provide me how possibly i can easily model this part in solidwords.

RE: Self-Reinforced nozzle for Pressure vessel

ting123,

What is wrong with the part you show?

Except for perhaps a fillet between flange and body, it looks about right to me.

Mike
