Question on annealing of CE3MN stainless steel

Question on annealing of CE3MN stainless steel

Question on annealing of CE3MN stainless steel

(OP)
Thanks for your help,

Assume we anneal a piece 1x2x5".
I keep it in the furnace at 1250F to soak.
---> Do I quench immediately?
or
---> Do I cool it in the furnace to 1950F and then quench?

Forget about distortion, I am only interested in microstructure. Does anybody have good metallurgical justification on the above?

CORRECTION TO ABOVE...

TEMPS are wrong...
I mean 2050F for soaking and 1910F.
