I have a question how do you turn on the auto advance to next step. We just switched to NX6 but I can not remember how to set it so once you made required pick it advances to next step without having to click the next step in process.

Thanks!

Ok but isn't there a setting some where to turn on ans auto advance to next step? I had my middle mouse button set to set rotation point so I'll have to reset it back to do this.

Thanks!

RE: Auto advance to next step

I think the 'auto advance' is dependent on the dialog.

You shouldn't have to reassign middle-button ... a single-click should advance, and keeping it pressed down will invoke the rotation point.

The only place I can recall seeing the Automatic Selection Progression is in the Trim Curve dialog under settings.  Once you set this the Dialog Memory should retainn your setting.

The reason we went to NX6 we were told by our IT dept that 7.5 or 8 would not run on XP sp2 and we wont be going to Windows 7 until next year. I think the plan will be to get NX8 installed after we get Windows 7 installed. We are also in the process of switching to Team Center Unified.

Extremely sorry for the last Post.
Command dialog boxes that have a preview have the auto complete capability. This capability is activated after you make the minimum required input for a command to display a preview. You can then start another command without clicking OK or Apply in the current command's dialog box. The software completes the current command and opens the dialog box for the next command.

There is an setting to change in (customer default--Gateway--User Interface). Just check in on the "Keep Group Closed if Selection Block in Group gets Focus"

This will help you
