How to glue Pharmed tubing
How to glue Pharmed tubing
(OP)
I am trying to find a glue that would work well with Pharmed tubing.
Specifically to glue Pharmed tubing to a Silicon stopper.
I have tried Loctite and silicone glue. They do the job, but only to an extent. Pharmed is extremely chemical resistive, and seems to not bond with the glue.

Silicons are thermoset I believe, so cannot be welded. Maybe the tubing can be riverted over with ultrasonics, depending on that the actual material is.
I take it both are elastomers which complicates adhesion as the glue has to move with the materials it is joining.

It can be welded, as there are commercially available things made from PharMed with welded fittings, and GE makes a gadget for welding it.

Could the silicone bits be changed to something that is weldable?

@ MintJulep - The silicone bits are being molded, and we have purchased the molding tool and everything. So changing that might be a long shot.
I will look into Ergo 5861.
