Improper G code from MasterCAM X5 to Bridgeport Torq-Cut 22

Improper G code from MasterCAM X5 to Bridgeport Torq-Cut 22

(OP)
Hi guys,

I'm relatively new to CNC machining. Right now I do all of my sketches MasterCAM Version 7 (old old old software) after creating my tool paths I post it and the G code is recognized on our Bridgeport Torq Cut 22. However when I write the identical program in MasterCAM X5 it gives me an improper G code that the Bridgeport doesn't recognize. I looked in to the post processesors but I'm still confused as I am relatively new to MasterCAM. Any bit of advice on where to start would help me out big time. Thank you!

I found a video of this guy who was able to do it in X3, unfortunately he hasn't responded when I tried to message him.

Do you have the post processor set up correctly for your machine?  You should be able to make manual adjustments.

It is better to have enough ideas for some of them to be wrong, than to be always right by having no ideas at all.

There are different post processors for the various types of controls in master cam. Select the correct one for the machine your using.
