Cpk on Max/Min & Ave data

Cpk on Max/Min & Ave data

Cpk on Max/Min & Ave data

(OP)
Hi Guys,

I have some inspection data from a supplier.
They have given me a summary of measurment data for each month:

For each critical dimension.
Max
Ave
Min
Qty (inspected)

(No std deviation) -- no individual data measurments).

I have 12 months datasets.

Can I use this to calculate a Cpk with any degree of confidence?

Should I use all the data (max/min/ave)?

Or should I just use the averages?

Regards

J

RE: Cpk on Max/Min & Ave data

With only what you have I don't think you can calculate anything particularly meaningful.
