Hello all,

I have a problem with Ansys software.
I nedd to perform a thermo-mochanical analysis and the best way to do that is:
- perform a thermal analysis with plane elements (plane77 or 55)
- input those results as a cross section for beam elements (beam188 or 189).
But I cannot find a way to export those thermal results into the cross-section in structural analysis.

Please, anyone knows how to do that?

I have never practiced in ANSYS but for what I have seen in, say, Autodesk Inventor, ANSYS should be able -on a comprehensive statement of the problem- to produce the answer single-step, i.e., you enter your model, the standing restraints and mutual constraints, and what defines the thermal loading and you obtain for the inspected moment both the thermal status of the materials at every point and the stresses at every point. This way you circumvent your problem through the performance of the program.

This question is more likely more adequate for the Finite Element Analysis engineering forum in this site.

Thanks, ishvaaag.
But I forgot to mention that it is a transient analysis (in function of time).
If fact, what I need is the Ansys command that adresses the thermal results to the cross section od the beam element.
