threaded hole relief and end chamfer

threaded hole relief and end chamfer

threaded hole relief and end chamfer

(OP)
When making a threaded hole via the hole function, it automatically adds a relief and end chamfer to said hole.
I almost never need those. The problem is, when I uncheck the boxes, it still adds them to the part.
The only way to get rid of them is by first creating the holes WITH relief and end chamfer, and then removing it after they are created.

Is this a known bug? Is there a(n easier) way around it? Or am I doing something wrong?

RE: threaded hole relief and end chamfer

Did you try eliminating the end chamfers from your customer defaults?  File=>Utilities=>customer defaults=>Modeling=>Feature Parameters then click the appropriate tabs and uncheck the chamfers...

Thx for the help dtharrett, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. See added picture for more information.

From left to right:

1) threaded hole created without relief
2) threaded hole with relief
3) threaded hole with relief, where relief is removed afterwards.

I like my holes to be like 3, as this is how we actually have them made, and we do not need the chamfer of hole 1.

Why is there a difference between hole 1 and 3?
How can I create hole 3 without having to go through those unnecessary steps?

When you are initially making your selections, can you attach a screen shot of your dialog box?
