Wheel volume
Wheel volume
(OP)
I saw ROTOBOX motorcycle wheels (www.rotobox.si). They have hollow spokes... more volume. How does more air volume in wheel affect to riding?

Many racecars use rifle drilled bolts for the same reason.
RE: Wheel volume
Also, a hollow spoke becomes a tube. It has the same structural advantages and disadvantages that tubular sections vs solid bars of same weight has in other applications. ie it increases rigidity per unit weight but also catastrophically fail's at lower deflection ue to the wall crumpling under compression.
Compared to other sections of similar rigidity per unit weight it probably also has better aero in a motorcycle wheel.
