Teamcenter and NX7.5 Template Proper Setup?

Teamcenter and NX7.5 Template Proper Setup?

Teamcenter and NX7.5 Template Proper Setup?

(OP)
Hello I am looking for the recommended setup to run 2 Custom Drawing Templates, that include company Drafting Standards and Company Titleblocks. Native, we had this setup with all patterns, standards and custom .pax files in one network location. This doesn't work with TCe. So, how should I set this up? Which environment variables must be created to make this happen? And is it possible to have the custom .pax file on a network location?

I had these set (all to the same location):
UGII_LOCAL_USER_DRAFTING_STANDARD_DIR
UGII_MXUG_DIR
UGII_PATDIR
UGII_TEMPLATE_DIR

Thanks for your help!

RE: Teamcenter and NX7.5 Template Proper Setup?

It is possible to put your PAX files into Teamcenter.  This works nice I just went through this with our templates.  Call GTAC and look in the help to see how this is done. I do not know if I am allowed to share the PDF file that was sent to me by GTAC.  Also on the PLMWORLD website there is a presentation on this subject.

Thanks SDETERS,

For whatever reason I had to fix filenames within the .pax file at our new location. All seems fine now. In talking to our TCe guy it was unclear if the .pax within TCe automatically updates or not. Good to know it can be imported. I don't know that we will need to do that...seems having it in a folder on the server works just as well.

Anyone care to chime in about whether or not we should keep the .pax in TCe too. Benefits?
