Injection blow moulding TPE?

Injection blow moulding TPE?

Injection blow moulding TPE?

(OP)
Hello All,

I can't seem to find any information on whether it is possible to injection blow mould TPE, I have found several sources and suppliers that state it is possible to blow mould TPE but nothing on injection blow moulding. My concerns are that once the preform is produced and starts to cool that this will result in moulding issues for the blow moulding stage.

Does anyone have any experience with injection blow moulding TPE?

I'm thinking injection blow moulding as it is a hollow asymmetrical form, along the lines of a home brew airlock but more complex.

  Many thanks in advance.

RE: Injection blow moulding TPE?

Airlock?  As in a two-door chamber through which people pass?

Just how big is this part?

I've seen parts similar to the "S-Curve" done with extrusion blow molding.

Thanks Mike,

My part is considerably more complicated than the S curve but it is worth considering extrusion blow moulding.

Is there anyone that can advise on injection blow moulding of TPE??
