A Student Version of NX is now avialable...

The previous thread was closed, so I am starting a new one.

Are licences available for non students, too? In particular I am referring to nonprofit and/or educational purposes.

"Part and assembly files created with NX Student Edition are tagged and cannot be opened in production versions of NX.  Prints from NX Student edition are automatically watermarked."

Does this mean a part is bricket once the licence expires? What are the possibilities of sharing a model with others? Can I still export STEP? Can I still export STL? Can I make draftings without watermark?

RE: A Student Version of NX is now avialable...

Licenses are available from http://www.journeyed.com/ for qualified students.

For educational institutions, contact Siemens directly.

The stsudent edition licenses, from what I understand, do not expire. They are limited to that one version of NX, no upgrades.

You can share files with other uses of the student version only.
Not sure about the export/import limitation of the student edition.
You can not make drawings without the watermark,as the system is to be used for training use only, not commercial use.

I think I will contact Siemens directly, but I am not sure they are happy addressing individual requests.
