Colors for flare Structure of 328 ft of height...FAA vs Temperature

Colors for flare Structure of 328 ft of height...FAA vs Temperature

(OP)
Hi everybody!

I´m supplying a Structure for a flare stack. The height of this structure is 328 ft. It is supposed that painting for this structure should meet FAA requirements (orange with white and alternated). But It is supposed that Flare, when it´s working, it will have elevated temperatures on high part. So, I need to paint that part in elevated temperature with a coating that be able to resist that temperature. Generally, the color of this painting for high temperature is aluminum color, I have not seen any other color for high temperature painting. So, I think it is important to meet that too but I do not know....what do you recomend me?
If I do not find colors that meet FAA....what is more important: FAA or high temperature issue?

Thxs.

You can certainly get modified silicones or inorganic silicate coatings for 500 deg C in black or white colours from International.  Orange will be a tough call.  According to AC70/7460-1K, the FAA can assess the situation and waive colouring if deemed no threat to safety.
