Model View in Base View - NX 7.5

In Base View- I wanted to learn how to use Model View.
Is it similiar to creating a custom view and inserting that custom view into drafting?
I must be missing something, because I cannot seem to get it to work properly.

RE: Model View in Base View - NX 7.5

Not sure what you're asking.  What exactly is it about selecting the desired orientation for the Base View of your drawing that you don't understand?  Is it the word 'Model View' which is messing with your head?  Perhaps if we had just said 'View'?
