how to model a building having eight storey (superstructure) and two storey basement for parking using SAP2000.

RE: 3D Modelling

Have you considered reading the manual?

RE: 3D Modelling

Dear Pujan, I am afraid you will never get any answer here. The first thing is if you dont know about the Finite Element Method (FEM), then dont use SAP or any other FEA software. If you have the concept of FEM then first you must learn from someone or from the manuals and tutorials.

Thank you for your suggestion.
I have learned SAP but i am in confusion that whether to model superstructure only or model both(superstructure and substructure in one model) for earthquake resistant building.AS earthquake load is acting from first floor.

I wanted to know whether to model the building from ground level or from underground including basement.
